Association of Physicians of Pakistan Descent of North America (APPNA) 15,000 members strong, the second largest ethnic medical society in the United States is having their Fall Meeting at the The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, Florida, from Thursday, October 14 – Sunday, October 17, 2010.
The meeting will have ACCME accredited CMEs, Scientific medical and non-medical forums, Exhibits of medical products, Boutiques, Jewelry and Art displays, Friday and Saturday night Banquets hosting Fashion show, variety show and renowned artists and entertainers from Pakistan. The Annual meeting gala will be hosting dignitaries and approximately 500 physicians and spouses.
We are all well aware of the tragedy that hit Pakistan. No one of us has ever witnessed this magnitude of destruction in our lifetime. While each one of us has been involved in every aspect of the relief activities, the need is enormous and whatever we do, will not be enough. We feel that it will be an opportune time to make a concerted effort to raise more funds by organizing 48 hour Flood Rel women's coats ief Marathon fundraising event during APPNA Fall meeting. Our youth in South Florida have taken an initiative to organize a symbolic Walkathon on Saturday to raise funds for the flood victims.
In recent years, Pakistan's Fashion Designers have wowed Fashion enthusiasts and critics equally at the Fashion Shows in Milan, Paris, London, New York and Miami Fashion Week, winning rave reviews and top awards. Mr. Umar Sayeed nicknamed the "Valentino" of the Sub-Continent now debuts his aesthetically crafted functional clothing line for Fashion savvy Miami. Umar Sayeed brings his contemporary sense of style, vibrant richness of color with a hint of tradition. Mr. Sayeed will be unveiling his brand new line of Jackets, Tunics, Kaftans, Pants and Shirts for Men and Women.
